Civil Design Engineer II/III
Job Summary
As a full-time remote Civil Design Engineer II/III specializing in Hydraulics & Hydrology, the candidate will model hydrology and hydraulics for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage sites, design drainage systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Key responsibilities
- Build hydrologic and hydraulic models and conduct floodplain analyses to inform project layouts and designs
- Design site drainage and stormwater management features using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, producing necessary civil land development documentation
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines and clients to align drainage designs and project expectations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 2+ years of civil engineering design experience for Engineer II or 5+ years for Engineer III
- Experience creating civil land development sheet sets, including grading and drainage design
- Ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems
- Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
