Civil/Structural Designer
Job Summary
To support various industrial projects, the full-time Civil/Structural Designer will work remotely, utilizing AutoCAD and other CAD tools to create detailed design drawings, perform structural inspections, and collaborate with engineering teams in heavy industrial environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform structural inspections of existing steel structures and fireproofing in accordance with guidelines
- Create detailed design drawings for industrial facilities, including foundation design and structural steel support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor junior designers throughout the design process
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma required; AS degree from a technical trade school preferred
- 5+ years of civil/structural drafting and design experience in heavy industrial environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit
- Experience with 3D modeling of structures and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
