Job Summary
Analytical and detail-oriented, the full-time remote Claims Analyst will manage a portfolio of temperature-controlled cargo claims, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions while collaborating with customers and carriers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage cargo claims from initial filing to resolution, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Investigate and resolve claims related to temperature deviations and other freight issues, applying relevant guidelines
- Negotiate settlements with stakeholders, including shippers and insurance adjusters, while mitigating losses on perishable freight
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of cargo claims management experience, preferably in 3PL or freight brokerage
- Deep knowledge of perishable freight laws, including the Carmack Amendment, PACA guidelines, and FSMA standards
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with experience in high-value settlements
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and claims management software
