Claims Analyst with PACA Knowledge

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and analytical, the full-time Claims Analyst with PACA Knowledge will manage a portfolio of temperature-controlled cargo claims remotely, ensuring compliance and timely resolutions while collaborating with customers and carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned cargo claims from initial filing to final resolution, ensuring accurate and compliant outcomes
• Investigate and resolve claims related to temperature deviations and other freight issues, applying PACA guidelines
• Negotiate and settle claims with shippers, carriers, and insurance adjusters while mitigating losses on perishable freight

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred
• 3+ years of cargo claims management experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, or cargo insurance environments
• Deep knowledge of perishable freight laws and standards, including PACA, USDA, and FSMA
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with experience in handling high-value settlements
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, freight broker TMS platforms, and claims management software
