Claims Consultant

Job Summary

Investigating and settling less complex claims, the fully remote Claims Consultant will evaluate coverage, liability, and damages while managing claims exposure and interacting with various parties involved in the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims with moderate supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
• Document and communicate all claim activity effectively to support claim file outcomes
• Exercise judgment to analyze claims exposure and determine appropriate settlement actions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma and 3 years of related claims experience
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled or able to obtain necessary licenses/certifications
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices
• Computer experience with claims and business software
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
