Claims Specialist - Professional Liability

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Claims Specialist - Professional Liability will investigate, evaluate, and adjust claims related to Design Professionals, Real Estate, Small Accountants, and Health Care Professionals while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Investigates and evaluates claims, reviews coverage and liability, and drafts coverage position letters
• Retains and directs consultants and outside counsel, maintaining cost controls and overseeing their work
• Prepares claims reports, sets reserves, and ensures timely and accurate claims payments

Required qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of related experience, with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, or an LLM/JD with post-bar experience
• Knowledge of Professional Liability claims, particularly in Design, Real Estate, Accounting, and Health Care
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across various levels
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and capable of learning proprietary software
