Client Accounting Lead

Job Summary

To support a growing cloud-accounting practice, the full-time Client Accounting Lead will oversee bookkeeping and finance processes for multiple clients while managing a team and ensuring high-quality service delivery in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-charge bookkeeping and finance processes for 10-20 clients, including invoicing, payroll, and monthly close
• Collaborate with the support team to delegate tasks, review work, and provide coaching to ensure quality service delivery
• Act as the primary client contact, addressing inquiries and suggesting process improvements to enhance client satisfaction

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-client cloud accounting experience, including payroll and financial reporting, with proficiency in QBO, BILL, and Gusto
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting processes and experience maintaining audit-ready schedules for non-bank balance sheet accounts
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA firm experience is a plus
• Proven ability to coach and mentor junior staff effectively
• Strong resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, with a desire for continuous improvement
