Clinical Chart Abstractor

Job Summary

To support the enrollment team, the part-time Clinical Chart Abstractor in Pulmonary Rehabilitation will review patient electronic medical records to determine eligibility for a virtual pulmonary rehabilitation program, working remotely for 15-20 flexible hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patient medical records to assess eligibility for pulmonary rehabilitation
• Review and interpret clinical documentation, including pulmonary diagnoses and test results, to confirm eligibility criteria
• Document eligibility determinations and coordinate follow-up on missing information with the enrollment team

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of clinical experience in pulmonary care, respiratory therapy, or related fields
• Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation interpretation
• Familiarity with pulmonary conditions, particularly COPD and emphysema
• Working knowledge of pulmonary function tests and ICD-10 codes
• At least 3 years of experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
