Clinical Documentation Integrity Lead

Job Summary

Partnering with service line and physician leadership, the full-time Clinical Documentation Integrity Lead will optimize documentation tools, improve processes, and develop strategies to reduce administrative burdens while ensuring high-quality documentation in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance relationships between CDI and assigned service lines, collaborating with physician champions
• Conduct targeted audits and analyses to identify documentation and coding opportunities, facilitating education for physicians
• Lead multidisciplinary CDI projects and coordinate the development of educational content for providers and teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Information Management, or a related field
• At least two active certifications such as COC, CPC, or CCS
• A minimum of five years of relevant inpatient clinical experience, including CDI or provider education
• Expertise in coding and CDI practices, with knowledge of CMS coding guidelines and regulations
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in developing and delivering training to clinical professionals
