Clinical Informatics Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting clinical and interprofessional caregivers in the effective use of information technology, the full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist will work remotely, primarily from Wednesday to Saturday, focusing on the implementation and optimization of clinical technologies within a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between clinical practice and Information Services to enhance the use of Epic and other clinical technologies
• Provide 24/7 remote support to clinicians and caregivers, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of clinical information systems
• Promote understanding and integration of information technology in healthcare through training and support initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a clinical discipline, Information Technology/Informatics, Business, Education, Management, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a role with similar primary duties involving clinical information systems in a healthcare environment
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application in a clinical setting
