Clinical Informatics Specialist
Job Summary
To support clinical technology utilization, the full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist will provide remote assistance to Providence clinicians and caregivers, focusing on the implementation and optimization of Epic systems while working Wednesday to Saturday from 11am to 9:30pm PDT.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between clinical practice and Information Services to enhance the use of clinical technologies
- Support caregivers in the learning, adoption, and optimization of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Promote understanding and integration of information technology within healthcare settings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a clinical discipline, Information Technology/Informatics, Business, Education, Management, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- Two years of experience in a role with similar primary duties related to clinical information systems in a healthcare setting
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of the benefits and challenges of adult learning
