Clinical Informatics Specialist
Job Summary
Building a pool of qualified candidates for future roles, the full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist will focus on supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs by designing, building, testing, and deploying informatics features that enhance health data usage and interoperability within a collaborative Agile environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support interoperability architecture and health information exchange initiatives, including VHIE and JLV
- Engage in clinical informatics and EHR optimization efforts, improving workflows and clinical decision support
- Contribute to training, change management, and communications for clinicians and staff
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in relevant areas
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA background investigation
- Experience in at least one of the specified areas of work
- Many roles may require a master's degree or clinical license, along with specialized experience
