Clinical Pharmacology Director

Job Summary

To support the development of innovative ophthalmic therapies, the full-time remote Clinical Pharmacology Director will lead clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics activities, oversee nonclinical and clinical studies, and contribute to regulatory submissions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Leads clinical pharmacology, PK, PD, and pharmacometrics activities across multiple ophthalmic programs
• Designs and oversees nonclinical and clinical pharmacology studies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
• Communicates key pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology information to management and regulatory agencies

Required qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, or related discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in PK, PBPK, PK/PD, pharmacometrics, and/or drug metabolism, preferably in ophthalmic drug development
• Demonstrated leadership in pharmacometric activities across multiple projects and development phases
• Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as NONMEM and Phoenix WinNonlin
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development processes and regulatory guidelines, particularly for ophthalmic products
