Job Summary
Seeking a full-time contract Clinical Terminologist, the successful candidate will standardize data from various health systems by identifying, creating, or validating mappings between medical terms and standardized terminologies.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and validate mappings between medical terms from different healthcare systems and standardized terminologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data management processes and ensure data quality
- Develop and maintain project documentation while performing data checks and edits
Required qualifications
- Education in Medicine or related fields (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Informatics)
- 2+ years of experience in the field, with 1+ year in clinical terminologies such as SNOMED CT, RxNorm, or LOINC
- Relevant certifications in coding or health information management (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT)
- Understanding of Electronic Medical Records and medical terminology
- Ability to provide subject matter expertise in data management
