Cloud Computing Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Cloud Computing Engineer Principal, this remote position will design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure and automation technologies while ensuring compliance with VA policies and providing customer-focused support for cloud services.
Key responsibilities
- Create and manage cloud architecture diagrams and automation technologies for CI/CD
- Implement monitoring capabilities and manage permissions for cloud applications and services
- Provide cloud support services for VA Enterprise Cloud environments, ensuring compliance with development and documentation requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 20+ years of professional experience in designing and managing Azure infrastructure and services
- Expertise in core Azure services and security practices, including Azure Virtual Machines and Microsoft Entra ID
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service
