Cloud Computing Engineer Principal
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Cloud Computing Engineer Principal will design and manage cloud infrastructure, implement automation technologies for CI/CD, and ensure compliance with federal policies while providing customer-focused support for VA Enterprise Cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Create and manage cloud architecture diagrams and data flow diagrams
- Implement and oversee monitoring capabilities for cloud-hosted systems and applications
- Provide cloud support services, ensuring compliance with Veterans Independence Program requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 20+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure and services
- Proven track record of designing and managing Azure infrastructure
- Experience with Azure security practices and services
- Advanced Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate
