Cloud Computing Engineer Principal
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Cloud Computing Engineer Principal will design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure, focusing on automation technologies for CI/CD and ensuring compliance with federal policies.
Key responsibilities
- Create and manage high-level architecture diagrams and cloud infrastructure documentation
- Implement and oversee monitoring capabilities for cloud-hosted systems to ensure optimal performance
- Provide customer-focused support for VA Enterprise Cloud environments, including setup and provisioning
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 20+ years of professional experience in cloud computing, specifically with Azure infrastructure and services
- Proven expertise in designing and managing scalable, secure Azure architectures
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and GitOps methodologies
- Strong understanding of Azure security best practices and compliance frameworks
