Cloud Data Architect
Job Summary
To support an enterprise cloud-based data and analytics platform for a federal health agency, the full-time Cloud Data Architect will establish and manage platform architecture, security baselines, and interoperability standards while working fully remote.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and operate documented rules around security, compliance, and data handling for platform teams
- Create and maintain the enterprise reference architecture and policies, ensuring clear guardrails for data management
- Run Architecture Review Boards and maintain documentation for decisions and exceptions related to enterprise architecture
Required qualifications
- Expertise in Azure Government and Azure Commercial environments, including familiarity with Databricks
- Demonstrated experience in managing and documenting technical architecture and compliance strategies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust (Tier 2 / Moderate Risk) background investigation
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and reside within the continental U.S
- Experience with production system monitoring and participation in a 24/7 on-call escalation process
