Job Summary
Defining the enterprise cloud database strategy, the full-time Cloud Database Architect V will lead architecture, modernization, and optimization efforts for scalable and reliable database solutions in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the enterprise cloud database strategy, architecture standards, and roadmap to enhance platform reliability and cost efficiency
- Design and implement secure and resilient database solutions aligned with application workloads and business objectives
- Lead database modernization and migration initiatives, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, or architecture, with 5+ years in designing cloud-native database solutions
- Proficiency with AWS and experience with additional cloud providers preferred (Azure, GCP)
- Deep expertise in at least two enterprise database platforms such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or a current AWS database-focused certification preferred
