Cloud DevEx Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling, the full-time remote Cloud DevEx Engineer will manage high-complexity delivery and tooling work, lead design discussions, and embed with engineering teams to enhance their workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Take high-complexity delivery and tooling work from concept to production, often as the only engineer on it
- Lead design discussions for build, test, and deployment systems, and author architecture documents or RFCs
- Own CI/CD pipelines end to end, including transitioning from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and automating processes for efficiency
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience in building and shipping application software, with a focus on enhancing product team efficiency
- Strong command of at least one production language (Node, Python, Kotlin, or comparable)
- Depth with CI platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience leading technical designs that cross team boundaries and seeing them through to completion
