Cloud Engineer - AWS
Job Summary
To support the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) team, a remote Cloud Engineer - AWS will collaborate with developers and product owners to design and implement custom cloud solutions, assist in migrating applications to AWS, and promote DevOps best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to design topologies for custom applications on AWS
- Guide development teams in migrating products from on-prem infrastructure to AWS
- Train product teams on AWS technologies and assist in automating operational needs
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience with technical training, certifications, or a degree
- 3+ years of experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, and Lambda
- Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS and EKS
- Ability to obtain a NIH Public Trust clearance
