Cloud Engineering Director
Job Summary
To support a growing cloud infrastructure, the full-time salaried Cloud Engineering Director will define the multi-year roadmap for the cloud platform, lead a team of engineers, and drive infrastructure automation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the cloud strategy and architecture, primarily focused on AWS
- Build and lead a team of cloud and infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and operational rigor
- Drive infrastructure as code and automation initiatives to enhance deployment speed and safety
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering, with at least 4 years in leadership roles
- Deep experience in architecting and operating production workloads in AWS, with knowledge of GCP or Azure being a plus
- Strong command of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CI/CD practices
- Experience operating in regulated environments such as HIPAA or SOC 2
- Proven track record of improving reliability and cost efficiency in cloud environments
