Cloud Operations Director
Job Summary
Leading the strategic direction for cloud and infrastructure services, the full-time remote Cloud Operations Director will manage the design, implementation, and operational oversight of enterprise cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-effectiveness while driving cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization.
Key responsibilities
- Defines cloud strategy and oversees the design and optimization of cloud services to ensure scalability and security
- Owns the cloud operating model, including service catalog management, SLAs/SLOs, and governance across teams
- Leads the development of cloud roadmaps and investment plans, focusing on modernization and technical debt reduction
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles managing engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience in microservices cloud architecture and design, including Kubernetes workloads
- Proven experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure, and large-scale cloud migrations
- Hands-on experience with coding/scripting languages and CI/CD tools
