Cloud Platform Lead Consultant
Job Summary
Designing, building, and operating cloud-native data infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud Platform, the full-time Cloud Platform Lead Consultant will work remotely to ensure the reliability and performance of data platforms that support Arity's mobility insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and optimize data streaming infrastructure using Amazon MSK (Kafka) or Google Pub/Sub
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available database and caching platforms including PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift
- Implement monitoring and observability for data platform services to proactively detect and resolve issues
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of software engineering or infrastructure experience, with at least 2 years in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering
- Hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Production experience with data streaming platforms, specifically Apache Kafka
- Strong Python and Shell scripting skills for automation and operational solutions
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CI/CD processes in production environments
