Cloud Platforms Director
Job Summary
Owning the migration from on-premise infrastructure to public cloud, the full-time Senior Director, Cloud Platforms will lead the development of a cloud platform for engineering teams while collaborating across various departments to enhance security, reliability, and operational efficiency in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end public cloud migration roadmap, ensuring timely execution and clear success metrics
- Oversee the operation of the cloud platform as an internal product, delivering CI/CD standards and enhancing developer experience
- Establish and lead the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) charter, focusing on proactive observability and incident response
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven track record in leading large-scale cloud migrations within complex organizations
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and GitOps delivery patterns
- Strong expertise in cloud networking, security, and edge protection technologies
