Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Providing hands-on cloud security support in a remote full-time capacity, the Cloud Security Engineer will manage vulnerability management, patching, and compliance within a FedRAMP High AWS GovCloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate vulnerability management and patching activities across cloud environments within required federal SLA timelines
• Implement and maintain security scanning within GitLab CI and Jenkins pipelines, including SAST, SCA, DAST, container, IaC, and secrets scanning
• Monitor security events using Splunk SIEM and CrowdStrike Falcon EDR, responding to incidents within required timelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of AWS cloud security engineering experience, including IAM, Security Hub, and GuardDuty
• FedRAMP High or AWS GovCloud experience
• 5+ years of vulnerability management experience using Tenable Nessus or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience securing CI/CD pipelines using SonarQube and DAST in GitLab CI or Jenkins
