Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on designing and securing scalable cloud solutions, the full-time Cloud Security Engineer will manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, support federal compliance activities, and collaborate with various teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure and manage cloud resources
• Support Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, including documentation and security control implementation
• Collaborate with software engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and efficient cloud operations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline
• Seven or more years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or cybersecurity engineering with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure
• Strong working knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, and identity management
• Experience implementing security controls under federal cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53 and RMF
• Proficiency in scripting and automation technologies, including PowerShell and Python
