Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Cloud Security Engineer, the successful candidate will design, implement, and enhance security measures across AWS and Azure environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS and Azure environments, ensuring compliance with industry best practices
• Deploy and integrate security technologies such as CrowdStrike and Splunk for endpoint protection and threat detection
• Investigate security alerts and support incident response activities to mitigate risks in cloud environments

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security, specifically with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of cloud security services, IAM, network security, and configuration best practices
• Practical experience with enterprise security platforms like CrowdStrike, Splunk, or Rapid7
• Working knowledge of container security concepts, including Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in threat and vulnerability management within cloud or hybrid environments
