Job Summary
Owning the architecture design, delivery, and roadmap for a dedicated engineering team, the full-time Cloud Services Engineering Manager will manage hands-on engineering tasks, ensure quality software delivery, and collaborate closely with product teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team in delivering data protection, security, and edge services while maintaining accountability for product health and evolution
- Write specifications, review pull requests, and actively participate in the development process to ensure current technical judgment
- Scope and manage the engineering workload, ensuring timely delivery and addressing cross-team dependencies proactively
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least one year in a leadership role
- Hands-on technical expertise in Perl, PHP, React, Vue, relational databases, CDN, WAF, and server security
- Recent experience shipping code and reviewing AI-generated code
- Demonstrated ability to improve team performance and manage software delivery timelines effectively
- Experience in managed hosting, cloud, or high-availability service environments
