Cloud Services Lead Engineer
Job Summary
To drive innovative digital product development, the fully remote Cloud Services Lead Engineer will architect and design applications, manage production environments, and ensure the success of digital products by achieving key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in planning meetings and provide technical input to product backlogs in collaboration with product managers
- Establish and lead practices for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment while coaching the team on paired programming and test-driven development
- Provide system design and architecture leadership, manage production outages, and monitor key systems for performance and reliability
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on designing and developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments, including microservices architectures
- Proficiency in backend development, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven systems
- Deep experience with test-driven development and writing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
