Cloud Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Responsible for designing, implementing, and improving infrastructure services at scale, the full-time Cloud Systems Engineer will lead technical workstreams, mentor junior engineers, and enhance security and operational efficiency in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure projects from design through implementation, including scope definition and risk assessment
- Serve as a primary escalation point for complex incidents, coordinating troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Implement automation to reduce manual work and improve consistency across systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five or more years of systems engineering or infrastructure operations experience
- Advanced experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Experience with compliance frameworks and audit evidence collection in regulated environments
- Role-aligned certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or security-focused credentials)
