Job Summary
To support a major Payment Calculation Re-Engineering initiative, the full-time COBOL Developer IV will analyze, design, and enhance complex COBOL applications, focusing on modernizing a system with over 70 interconnected modules while working primarily in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and enhance COBOL applications supporting payment-calculation functionality
- Re-engineer and consolidate multiple interconnected modules into a standardized global structure
- Refactor complex application logic to improve maintainability and reduce dependencies
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Minimum of 6 years of application development or related professional IT experience
- Strong hands-on COBOL programming and application-development experience
- Experience analyzing and modifying complex, interconnected application code
- Ability to understand and translate existing application functionality into standardized, maintainable solutions
