Coding Auditor
Job Summary
Working fully remote, the full-time Coding Auditor I will perform coding, auditing, and review processes while providing guidance on policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality in healthcare documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Perform coding, auditing, editing, and review processes as required by ProCode
- Provide guidance and feedback related to auditing, coding, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as outlined in the work/auditing plan, ensuring timely reviews and record-keeping
Required qualifications
- Relevant certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
- Experience in coding and auditing within a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with ProCode processes and procedures
- Ability to participate in system testing and provide assistance to MIPS quality reviews
