Coding Liaison - Primary Care

Job Summary

Supporting the Primary Care Southeast region, the full-time remote Coding Liaison - Primary Care will deliver proactive coding education, lead compliance training for clinicians, and provide individualized documentation feedback to ensure accurate coding practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, scorecards, and presentations on coding guidelines and payer requirements
• Lead onboarding and compliance training for employed Physicians/APPs, ensuring documentation accuracy from the start
• Serve as the primary contact for coding inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to resolve complex coding issues

Required qualifications

• Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P)
• Completion of advanced training equivalent to post-secondary education
• Typically requires 4 years of experience in expert-level professional coding
• In-depth knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Advanced knowledge of Epic and reporting tools for data analysis and workflow optimization
