Job Summary
To support coding quality and education initiatives, the full-time Coding Quality and Education Manager will perform coding audits, analyze quality trends, and deliver targeted education to coders and providers in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform prospective and retrospective audits of outpatient and professional surgical coding, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer policies
- Support and maintain the coding quality assurance program, including audit methodologies and quality tracking processes
- Develop and deliver targeted education for coders and providers, addressing identified educational needs and opportunities for process improvement
Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of coding experience, including outpatient and/or professional surgical coding
- 5+ years of coding quality auditing and/or coding education experience
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and Medicare regulations
- Experience with surgical specialties such as orthopedics, spine, and general surgery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
