Collections Representative

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle team, the full-time Collections Representative will manage follow-ups on assigned accounts to ensure timely payments, contacting patients and agencies to resolve billing issues, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on assigned accounts to achieve high cash flow until resolution or referral to collection agencies
• Contact patients, employers, insurance companies, and government agencies to expedite payments
• Resolve patient inquiries and complaints regarding billing and collection processes, maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in insurance processing, collections, or customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of medical insurance billing and legal processes
• No licensure or certification required
