Collections Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Collections Representative will manage account reconciliation, perform collections, and resolve billing issues while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform collections, reconciliation, and research on complex multi-payment accounts
• Submit appeal letters on underpaid claims and interpret payer contracts for accuracy
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and third-party payers while collaborating with internal departments

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of hospital/facility collections experience, including follow-up and appeals
• 1+ years of experience with Medicaid Managed Care plans, handling appeals and denials
• Experience navigating insurance portals and reviewing UB 04 claim forms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
