Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle process, the full-time remote Collections Specialist will manage billing and collections for assigned accounts, ensuring accurate and timely payments from third-party payers while collaborating with clients and insurance companies to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage assigned accounts, ensuring timely billing, collections, and payment activities
• Investigate denials and coordinate with billers and funding consultants to address billing and documentation issues
• Document collection actions and follow up regularly with insurance companies and clients to ensure payment of accounts

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, collections, and high-volume medical billing or insurance claims processing
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and payment posting processes preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to manage confidential information and apply independent judgment
