Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Collections Specialist will collect payments for assigned Accounts Receivable segments, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while utilizing technology to produce clean claims.

Key responsibilities

• Bill accounts electronically and manually, ensuring accuracy in claims processing
• Analyze coding and maintain knowledge of regulatory billing requirements to ensure proper claim submissions
• Prioritize and service accounts based on importance, independently managing billing in accordance with insurance and CMS regulations

Required qualifications

• Experience in medical billing or collections
• Knowledge of insurance and CMS regulations
• Familiarity with claims processing reports
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Participation in educational programs to maintain skills and competencies
