Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Physician Revenue Cycle, the full-time Collections Specialist will collect payments for assigned accounts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while working remotely during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Bill accounts electronically and manually, utilizing technology to produce clean claims
• Analyze claims processing reports and maintain knowledge of regulatory billing requirements
• Prioritize and service accounts independently, ensuring adherence to insurance and CMS regulations

Required qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable and collections within a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of billing regulations and coding practices
• Proficiency in using billing software and technology for claims processing
• Ability to interpret claims processing reports accurately
• Participation in ongoing education and training related to billing practices
