Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Receivable process, the full-time Collections Specialist will collect payments, interpret claims processing reports, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while telecommuting.

Key responsibilities

• Bill electronically and manually, utilizing technology to produce clean claims
• Analyze coding and maintain knowledge of regulatory billing requirements to ensure proper billing
• Prioritize and service accounts independently, attaching required clinical documentation as needed

Required qualifications

• Experience in medical billing or collections
• Knowledge of insurance and CMS regulations
• Ability to analyze claims processing reports
• Familiarity with electronic billing systems
• Participation in educational programs related to billing and collections
