Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts, the full-time Collections Specialist will perform collection activities, initiate contact with debtors, and document all communications while providing exceptional customer service, requiring a Collections Specialist License.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts and initiate contact with debtors through various communication methods
- Document all collection activities in compliance with client standards and Federal Regulations
- Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate debtors who are difficult to reach
Required qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a Collections Specialist License upon placement
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or related fields is preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in collections or related customer service roles, preferably in a financial or credit environment
- Proficiency in using collections software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
