Job Summary
Supporting students in navigating college financing, the full-time College Affordability Advisor will provide text-message and virtual guidance, assist with financial aid forms, and engage in community events in New York.
Key responsibilities
- Provide text-message and virtual meeting support based on college affordability curriculum
- Assist students in the timely completion of financial aid forms and advocate for their needs
- Maintain detailed records in Salesforce and contribute to program support through research and presentations
Required qualifications
- Postsecondary degree or equivalent professional experience, with some college-going experience required
- Knowledge of barriers faced by low-income, first-generation college-bound students
- Comfort with technology, including platforms like Salesforce and Google Suite
- Strong relationship-building skills with students and community partners
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
