Colorado Licensed Authorization Representative

Job Summary

To support Patient Access Services, the full-time Colorado Licensed Authorization Representative will perform insurance verification and authorization functions remotely, ensuring compliance with billing requirements and reducing authorization-related denials.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately complete authorization initiation requests with payers and validate existing authorizations for various service lines
• Provide necessary information regarding authorizations to appropriate staff and maintain records of all referral activity
• Respond to provider orders for tests and procedures, obtaining necessary authorizations while staying current on payor requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations
• Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD codes
• Proficiency in common office software, including word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
