Job Summary
To provide comprehensive legal counsel on AI governance, data privacy, HIPAA compliance, and cybersecurity risk management, the full-time remote Colorado Licensed Privacy Officer will interface with executive leadership, supervise contract management, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and effective governance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead legal review and negotiation of various IT and vendor agreements, advising stakeholders on associated risks
- Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks and provide guidance on legal implications of emerging technologies
- Oversee HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations, including breach response and risk mitigation activities
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing in the United States
- 7+ years of legal experience with at least three years in a law firm
- Extensive experience negotiating IT and vendor agreements
- Comprehensive expertise in privacy and HIPAA compliance
