Colorado Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To provide comprehensive psychiatric care, the full-time Colorado Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medication, and deliver ongoing care to the Medicaid population in a remote setting, benefiting from administrative support and flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients
• Manage medication prescriptions and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient support

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in Colorado
• National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Prescriptive authority with active DEA registration and Colorado controlled substance registration
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications
• Own malpractice coverage ($1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate)
