Job Summary
To support trauma data management, the part-time Colorado Licensed Trauma Registrar will evaluate documentation, abstract clinical data from medical records, and monitor data trends in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Abstracts clinical and demographic data from medical records for trauma patients
- Reviews patient records for audit filters and performance indicators while maintaining productivity standards
- Compiles reports for regulatory agencies and conducts E coding, ICD, and AIS coding for trauma patient records
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Healthcare or coding experience preferred
- Registrar Course from the American Trauma Society preferred
- Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) preferred
- Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) preferred
