Job Summary
To support patient care coordination, the part-time Colorado Licensed Utilization RN will manage admissions and discharge planning, ensuring compliance with medical necessity criteria and collaborating with healthcare teams remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinates admissions and discharge plans, collaborating with physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary teams
- Reviews and authorizes medical necessity for inpatient and post-acute care, applying clinical criteria effectively
- Documents case reviews and care plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience as an RN in an acute care setting
- Graduate of a board-approved RN program with at least 750 hours of clinical experience
- Current Registered Nurse License in Colorado
- Basic Life Support certification
- Knowledge of utilization review and discharge planning principles
