Commercial Contracts Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the commercial team of a publicly traded energy company, the full-time Commercial Contracts Specialist will manage the preparation, negotiation, and administration of complex commercial agreements in the energy and carbon capture sectors while working remotely with occasional travel to Houston, TX, or Denver, CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, review, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial agreements related to energy infrastructure and midstream operations
• Translate commercial terms from term sheets and negotiation discussions into clear documentation and summaries
• Coordinate with commercial stakeholders and legal teams to resolve issues and advance contract negotiations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial contract administration or transactional legal support, including at least 3 years in the midstream or energy sector
• Direct experience with midstream energy commercial agreements, including gas gathering and transportation agreements
• Strong understanding of commercial terms commonly found in midstream agreements
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and document comparison tools
