Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

Leading a team of legal professionals, the remote Director & Assistant General Counsel, Commercial will manage complex commercial and technology transactions, focusing on negotiating SaaS, AI, and cloud infrastructure agreements while supporting strategic business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team to optimize productivity and stakeholder support
• Guide negotiation strategy and legal risk assessment for various supplier agreements
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support critical transactions and improve operational workflows

Required qualifications

• JD with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a legal environment, particularly in SaaS and cloud services
• At least 2 years of in-house experience at a technology company preferred
• Strong people management experience, including coaching and performance management
• Deep experience in negotiating technology supplier agreements and advising on data privacy and security
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a focus on business-oriented solutions
